Skunk Works plural noun (slang)
Definition:
- Product development established outside the normal process and/or premises to
expedite it or keep it a secret.
- Research and development with little or no regard for bureaucracy or protocol.
- The term comes from Big Barnsmell's Skonk Works, where the illicit
liquor Kickapoo Joy Juice was made, in Al Capp's comic strip Li'l Abner
